Comprised of part of the City of Laval bounded by: the Mille-Iles River, the extension of Sainte-Marie Boulevard (including île Saint-Joseph), this boulevard, Des Perron Avenue, the extension of René-Laennec Boulevard, this boulevard, Laval Autoroute (440), Laurentian Autoroute (15) and Curé-Labelle Boulevard (Route 117).

Mr. Bletas has been a resident of Ste-Rose (ward 13) since 1998.He has two children Eva-Marie and Michael. He works as a marketing consultant in public relations and communications.

Mr. Bletas has been involved in education for many years in various capacities. He was Chairman of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board from 1998 until May 2012.

Mr. Bletas, member of the Board of Directors of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier Foundation, member of Board of Directors of the Centre de santé et de services sociaux de Laval (CSSS) as well as member of the American Helenic Educational Progessive Association (AHEPA).

Mr. Bletas was involved as:

  • Parent Commissioner of Provisional Council 50-05, representing the English minority for the secondary schools of Commission scolaire Chomedey-de-Laval and various standing committees
  • President of Laval Catholic High School School Committee and Orientation Committee
  • President of Sacred Heart Middle School School Committee
  • Member of Terry Fox School Committee
  • President of Terry Fox School Orientation Committee
  • President for five years of the committee on appropirate behaviour in school for Laval Catholic High School and Sacred Heart Middle School
  • Handball coach (boys teams) for Terry Fox Elementary, Laval Catholic High School and Sacred Heart Middle School

Mr. Bletas is a member of the following committees:
