THE HUNGRY CATERPILLAR

 

 

 

This page is suitable for kindergarten and grade 1 students. These activities are based on the story "The Hungry Caterpillar" written by Eric Carle. It has been divided into three activities. Part A is based on language and math skills. Part B tests the children's knowledge in beginning sounds as well as memory. The last section emphasizes on how well they know the story. Simply follow the instructions given below.

    On Tuesday he ate through (two, four) pears.

    On Wednesday he ate through (six, three) plums, but he was hungry.

    On Thursday he ate through (five, four) strawberries, but he was still hungry.

     

    On Friday he ate through (five, six) oranges, but he was still hungry.

    On Saturday he was so hungry that he ate through one….
