Your group will produce a scrapbook. It will include pictures, drawings, maps, and journal entries, as well as other details, describing the life of immigrants in the 1800's.

The scrapbook will explain the reason they left their country of origin, their journey to the New Land, and their new life and all the hardships they encountered.

The scrapbook will be comprised of:

  • Descriptions of your family and their heritage.
  • Explanations of what your voyage was like.
  • Details of where you landed and your first impressions.
  • Your destination in Canada.
  • Transportation of the time.
  • Descriptions of your new home and details of your new way of life.
  • Encounters with other cultures.
  • System of government.
  • Customs and traditions you brought to the new land.
