You are going to read two stories, "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" by Beatrix Potter, and "The Tortoise and the Hare" by Rebecca J. Kamp
Peter is a naughty rabbit who narrowly escapes from Mr. McGregors garden.
The other story is about a hare named Elbert who is obsessed with being number 1 in everything he does.

Read the two stories "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" and "The Tortoise and the Hare". The series of questions integrate reading comprehension, critical thinking, and mathematical problem solving skills. Follow the instructions for each category of questions. Explain yourself clearly using number sentences (equations) where appropriate.
