Wins Canada’s Outstanding Principal Award 2012

On January 26th, 2012, The Learning Partnership, a national non-profit organization, dedicated to championing a strong public education system in Canada, announced that Grenville Elementary School Principal, Nancy Bennett had been selected as one of Canada's Outstanding Principals™ for 2012.

Canada’s Outstanding Principal’s Program is a collaborative partnership between the Learning Partnership and the Rotman School of Management in Toronto, Ontario. Each year leading principals selected from Canada-wide nominations are honoured for their exemplary contributions to quality public education. As one of Canada’s Outstanding Principals, Bennett will attend a five day Executive Leadership Training Program at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. There, she will have the opportunity to dialogue and reflect on leadership issues with other renowned leaders from the educational, social, cultural and business sectors.

On February 28^th at a Gala Event in Toronto Bennett will be inducted into the National Academy of Outstanding Principals and participate in a year-long online forum and engage in collaborative deliberations about leadership issues in education.
