A new school year has just begun and it is with great pleasure that I present to you your Governing Board:

We held two meetings so far and I am proud to say that again this year our members are keen and ready to work for the children of Laurentia.

As parents, we are very fortunate for our children to attend Laurentia Elementary School. The dedication of the staff and teachers, the quality of education equals that that of a “private” school. As such, I believe it is our parental obligation to support our school community in a way that best suits our individual capacities. Whether it be volunteering at the school by reading to Kindergarten and Cycle 1 students, participating and attending parent - teacher meetings, sports activities, talent shows, PPO, it is always appreciated by the staff but most of all by your children.

Part of our school success plan is to provide a safe, happy and harmonious environment where all students can maximize their learning potential and believe in themselves and all Board members keep this in mind when making decisions during our monthly meetings.

Please remember that your voice is important and should you have any questions or concerns you may address them either to the office or to the Board.
