THEATRE CONCENTRATION

Theate concentration is offered exclusively in Secondary 4 and 5.  Students must audition in order to be accepted into the program.  Students must also have a minimum 75% academic average prior to entering the program and must maintain a minimum 75% academic average in order to remain in the program.  Students must also demonstrate outstanding citizenship. 

While in the program, students will benefit from a minimum of 150 hours/year of theatre class and 100 hours/year of theatre activities and practice during the weekly enrichment blocks.  Students will also benefit from our outstanding facilities which include a black box theatre classroom and a full-size auditorium. 

Theatre students annually perform 2 major productions per year.  The first is a play production in January while the second is a musical production in late-spring.
