   How a parent can help a student stay in school?

  • Give your child the desire to read and learn

  • Be a role model, ask questions, be involve

  • Take part in your child’s school life

  • Help them organize their homework and help them with it

  • Recognize the effort regardless of the final results

  • Be present in hard and difficult times

  • Show them how to be independent without neglecting parental supervision

  • Help our child to recognize their strengths

  • Praise education and encourage them to get a diploma

  • Proudly wear the ribbon for the Hooked on School Days

  • Send on a regular basis a word of encouragement.

  

How a teacher can help a student stay in school?

  • Know and state the strengths and weaknesses or your students
  • Believe that each child is capable of being successful
  • Recognize the effort
  • Work with the student and his or her parents for their success
  • Develop the quality of the teacher-student relationship
  • Have your students see and explore new passions

  • Demonstrate how helpful and useful what they learn can be
  • Encourage your students to set and achieve goals for themselves
  • Target the students that are at-risk of dropping out early
  • Wear the ribbon for the Hooked on School Days
  • Give specific students a bookmark with a message of encouragement
