PHOENIX ALTERNATIVE

MISSION STATEMENT

 

Phoenix offers a unique experience where personal initiative and commitment are emphasized. Levels of interest, motivation, academic progress, and willingness to accept responsibility for choices made and actions taken, are the bases upon which we determine the success of the individuals.

 

In order to accomplish these goals, the students themselves, rather than their parents, must assume responsibility for academic and behavioural growth.

    Fundamental to our success are the following:

Smaller classes

Orientation trip

Semestered program

Focus on the individual

Personal and career planning

Focus on global education

Weekly feed-back to students through meetings with teacher-advisors
