Treasure Hunts are Internet activities designed to get students searching for (and finding) specific information on the World Wide Web while developing critical thinking. Treasure hunts can be divided into two categories: 1) those which point to pre-determined sites and, 2) those which encourage searching the 'Net without specifying sites. Obviously, using pre-determined web sites goes a long way in insuring consistent focus.
