A- CONTRACTUAL CLAUSES FOR THE DAYCARE SERVICE
With the following contract, the Holy Rosary Daycare agrees to respect the following clauses:
1. REGISTRATION
1.1 Children in the following classes may attend the Daycare

1.2 While respecting applicable selection criteria at the time of registration, priority
will be given to those who attended the Daycare in the previous year and to
those children living under the same roof.
1.3 In order to retain the child’s place in the Daycare, registration renewal must take
place before the end of the school year.
2. SCHEDULE
2.1 The daycare service will be open according to the school calendar, including pedagogical
days.
2.2 Daycare service will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
2.3 Daycare service will be closed for holidays.
3. FEES
3.1 The daycare service will issue a receipt for the registration fees as well as for the daycare
service fees during February of each year or at the time of the child’s departure.
4. ORGANIZATION
4.1 Assures the safety of the children.
4.2 Organizes activities to help the development of the children’s physical, mental, and
academic abilities.
4.3 Respects the norms established by the “Office des services de garde à l’enfance”and the
Ministère de l'Éducation du Québec concerning the competence of the personnel
hired educator/child ratio.
5. MISCELLANEOUS
5.1 The daycare service reserves the right to refuse the service to any person who does not
respect the rules and/or clauses of the contract. In addition, a child whose behavior disrupts
the well-being of the other users of the service may be excluded from the daycare after the
parents or guardians have been duly advised by the person responsible for the service.
5.2 In case of school closure, parents or guardians must take the necessary measures to insure
that the child leaves the school as quickly as possible.
5.3 The Administration Council of the daycare service reserves the right to amend, eliminate or
add any clause to the present document in order to insure the best possible operation
of the service and the well-being of the children, and to advise the parents or guardians
of these changes without delay.
B - CONTRACTUAL CLAUSES FOR THE PARENTS OR GUARDIANS USING THE DAYCARE SERVICE
With the following contract, the parents or guardian using the Holy Rosary Daycare service agree
to respect the following clauses:
1. REGISTRATION
1.1 Pay the annual non refundable registration fees of $15.00 for the child or $25.00
for family with two children or more. These fees are payable by cheque, due when
the contract is when the contract is signed, and are applicable to the next school year only.
1.2 In order to retain a place in the daycare, the registration renewal must be completed during the annual registration period.
2. SCHEDULE
2.1 Respect the operating hours of the daycare service.
2.2 A fine of $5.00 for each block of 15 minutes delay after closing hours will be calculated when the child is picked up and will be paid immediately to the representative of the daycare service.
2.3 In case of repeated delays when picking up children, the administration Council reserves the right to impose supplementary penalties and/or sanctions.
2.4 The Day Care service accepts responsibility for your child ONLY during operating hours.
3. FEES
3.1 Fees are as follows:
Kindergarten and Elementary students Service fees :
6:30 a.m.- 8:00 a.m.; Regular users at $5.00
11:25 a.m.- 12:40 p.m.; a day for each child
2:10 p.m.- 6:00 p.m.
Kindergarten and Elementary students Service fees :
11:25 a.m. - 12:40 p.m. Regular users at $5.00
2:10 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. a day for each child
NOTE: The following are extra services that will be offered if possible.
Pedagogical days: Service fees at $5.00/day for each child.
Extra fees may be charged and are only applicable for the price of entry for
fieldtrips, activities and transportation.
3.2 Fees are payable by cheque to: Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board. The parent or legal
guardian must indicate the name of the child on the cheques.
3.3 Returned cheques must be replaced by a certified cheque or a money order that
includes service charges if applicable.
4 - TRANSPORTATION
4.1 Parents or guardians must assure both the incoming and outgoing transportation
of the child.(6:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.)
4.2 Parents or guardians must drop off and pick up the child inside the daycare and
report to an educator.
4.3 If a person other than the father, mother or guardian must pick up the child,
the parents or guardians must advise the daycare service in writing. In case of
separation or divorce, the daycare reserves the right to ask for a copy of the
judgment concerning the legal guardianship of the child, this in order to assure
the child’s safety.
5 - ABSENCES
5.1 In case of absences, the full fee will be charged for each day of absence from the child’s registration schedule.
5.2 The daycare service must be notified in case of absences.
6 - BREACH OF CONTRACT:
6.1 At the time of registration, the parents or guardians must pay a non-refundable registration
fees of $15.00 for the child or $25.00 per family with two or more children, and a deposit
equivalent to one week of day care service charges.
6.2 Parents or guardians must submit a written notice in regards to the cancellation
or suspension of daycare services.
7 - HEALTH
7.1 A child having contracted a contagious disease will not be allowed access the
daycare service during the contagious phase of the disease. In order to return
to the daycare, parents of guardians must show a written medical certificate
attesting the child’s good health.
7.2 Parents or guardians authorize the daycare service to take necessary measures
in case of accident to assure the child’s safety thereby releasing the daycare
service from all responsibilities.
8 - MISCELLANEOUS:
8.1 Changes in status (change of days or number of days) must be arranged in advance
with the daycare service.
8.2 Parents or guardians must communicate any change in address or telephone number to
the daycare service as quickly as possible.
8.3 In case of school closure due to unforeseen circumstances (storms, etc.) parents or
guardians must take necessary measures for their child’s care.
8.4 Parents or guardians must provide adequate clothing so the child can participate in all
activities.
9 – DISCIPLINE POLICY:
9.1 The student agrees to abide by the following daycare rules as stipulated by the person
in charge.
9.2 The student is expected to follow the rules set by each of their educators and made known
to them at the beginning of the school year or at the first day of day care service.
9.3 The student agrees to respect the homework policy signed by the child and parent at the
beginning of the school year or at the first day of day care service.
9.4 The student agrees to respect the daycare’s material as well as the belongings of other
students.
9.5 The daycare service reserves the right to have in-house suspension on pedagogical days
for those children whose behaviour continually disrupts the well-being of the other users and
the normal functioning of the daycare after the parents or guardians have been duly advised.
