Web Quest Central

What is a Web Quest?

Originally created by Bernie Dodge of San Diego State University in 1995, a web quest is an online activity designed to engage students in higher order thinking skills.

Web quests incorporate computer technology and the Internet skills. Students are given a problem to solve and a set of step-by-step instructions accompanied with resources to help them in their quest. An evaluation in the form of a rubric or checklist is provided to help students in self-evaluation. A conclusion is offered to describe the impact that the completed task should have on the problem being solved.
