Laval Liberty High School is a public anglophone senior high school. Laval Liberty was created in 2005 when the former Western Laval High School was renamed Laval Liberty High School. The first cycle of high school (Secondary 1 and 2) were separated from the former school and a new school entity, Laval Junior High School was created. Essentially, two schools now co-exist in the same building, with students from Laval Junior High School, for the most part, continuing their second cycle of high school at Laval Liberty High School.
There are over 900 students enroled at Laval Liberty High School. Approximately one-third of Laval Liberty students are in a specialty concentration program in either sports or the arts. In total there are six concentration programs: football, soccer, hockey, music, theatre and art. Each of these programs has limited enrolment and strict standards for performance.Laval Liberty High School also has a regular academic program, a French Immersion stream and programs to support students who need additional support.
Laval Liberty's academic performance has improved steadily for the past eight years. The school has the fifth lowest drop-out rate of all public anglophone schools in the province, and the second lowest drop-out rate of all schools in Laval. Recently, Laval Liberty was honoured by the Garfield-Weston Foundation for having the second greatest rate of academic improvement of all high schools in Quebec for the peiod 2001-2006. Furthermore, Laval Liberty continues to strive for academic improvement and success by providing a stimulating learning environment. This standard of excellence is a priority for our entire staff and its governing board.

The school has a teaching staff of approximately 55 teachers, a support staff and professional team of approximately 25 people and an administrative team which includes a principal and two vice-principals. Laval Liberty has developed strong links with its surrounding community. Variuous community groups participate in school activities and support learning in our school through their partnership with our Community Learning Center. Most students are bussed to school with Société de Transport de Laval busses.  The school board subsidizes 50% of the student's monthly bus pass.
