Tonight, the Council of Commissioners unanimously adopted a resolution to recognize Autism Acceptance Month.

This recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering a school environment where every student feels seen, valued, and supported. We stand in solidarity with individuals on the autism spectrum, their families, and advocates in promoting acceptance, understanding, and meaningful inclusion.

On behalf of the Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board, I want to reaffirm our dedication to building a more inclusive and compassionate educational community—one that embraces diversity in all its forms and empowers every learner to thrive.
