MINISTRY’S OFFICIAL ATTESTATION OF ATTENDANCE
Why is this an important day?
This year, the Ministère de l’Éducation (MEQ) has selected Friday, September 30, as the official attendance day, whereby all teachers will be required to take official attendance of the students in their class in all of our schools. This official declaration of student enrolment will determine the funding to schools for services offered to students. The purpose of this exercise is also to ensure that no student is registered in two separate schools.
For this reason, it is very important that all students be PRESENT IN CLASS on Friday, September 30.
We ask for your cooperation in order to avoid all absences and late arrivals.
What happens if your child is absent on September 30?
Shortly after this date, you will receive an official document requesting that you confirm that your child is indeed registered in and attending one of our schools. You must sign this form and return it to the school secretary as soon as possible.
