REGISTRATION FOR NEW STUDENTS: You must make an appointment with your zoned school to register your child.

Parents must call their zoned school to make an appointment for registration. It is important to bring all required documents with you at the time of registration. (if you do not know your zoned school, click on the red “Find my School” tab at the bottom right of our website.

Required documents

• The child’s original long-form birth certificate bearing parents’ names
• A proof of parents’ Canadian citizenship
• Two Québec proof of residency (ex. tax receipt, utility bill, etc.)
• The child’s most recent report card, if the child attended school the previous year
• Application for Certificate of Eligibility to English education (to be completed at the school during your appointment)
• Some schools may require other documents

To register for K4 (pre-kindergarten), your child must be 4 years old by September 30.
To register for K5 (kindergarten), your child must be 5 years old by September 30.

Note: At the time of registration, you will be asked to complete the School Tax Choice Form and return it to the school board before March 31.

NEW! ONLINE REGISTRATION

The Sir Wilfrid Laurier School Board is launching a pilot project for online registration. For the current year 2025–2026 and the 2026–2027 school year, online registration will be available only for these schools.

• Hillcrest Elementary School
• Laurentia Elementary School
• Rawdon Elementary School
• Laurentian Regional High School

If the child, a parent, or a sibling has a Certificate of Eligibility, you may proceed with the online registration. For all other situations, please contact the school for guidance.

Families that possess a Certificate of Eligibility and are registering at one of these four schools must create a Parent Portal account. If you already have an account, simply add your child to it. Then complete the online registration using the following link:

After your online registration is approved, the school will reach out to arrange an appointment for document verification and signatures.
