Rosemère, November 26, 2020

Dear SWLSB Community,

The Ministry of Education has advised us that the elections set for December 20, 2020, have been postponed by Ministerial Order 2020 -096, for an unspecified time. In his letter, the Minister states that it should be several months before the elections recommence.

The November 1, 2020, school board elections had originally been postponed on October 7th for an indefinite period, but on November 13th, the elections were set again for December 20, 2020.

All registered electors received a Notice of Entry on the electoral list (yellow card) in October and again this week. The Notice indicates dates at which you may present yourself to the Board of Revisors to make changes. Please note that we have kept all the applications submitted since September. The Board of Revisors and all these dates have been cancelled by Ministerial Order and will be set again in
the future, when the election process recommences.

We will make information available on our website when it becomes available.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by email at elections@swlauriersb.qc.ca. In the meantime, I wish you all safe and happy holidays.

Regards,

Helen Finn, Election President
Helen Finn, Returning Officer
